Benjamin Phillips

Benjamin Phillips completed his undergraduate degree in History at Dartmouth College followed by a Fulbright French Teaching Assistantship in Strasbourg, France. Benjamin received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Colorado Law School in Boulder where he focused on property and commercial matters, including employment and construction, and a practical emphasis on litigation and dispute resolution. Benjamin enjoyed attending law school in Colorado and the unique opportunity to complete coursework in Natural Resources Management in the American West, Everything But the Trial: Motions Practice in the Employment Context, Patent Litigation & Trial, and Cybersecurity Law. During his second year, Benjamin was awarded the FTC Chair Janet Steiger Fellowship in Antitrust and Consumer Protection Law and placed in the Florida Attorney General’s Office Multistate/Privacy Bureau.

Prior to joining MDK Law, Benjamin was an associate at a well-respected employment boutique in Seattle managing a statewide caseload. As a result, Benjamin possesses the experience to bring and defend actions in state and federal trial and appellate courts on both sides of the Cascades. Originally from Florida, in his time away from the office Benjamin enjoys staying active in the great outdoors with friends, family, and golden retriever.

Benjamin is licensed to practice in the state of Washington, New York, and the District of Columbia (Washington, D.C.). Benjamin is also credentialed to practice before the federal courts including the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, the Southern District of New York, the District of Colorado, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
